One piece of advice for all you cyclists out there
WEAR A HELMET.
I didn't today and I almost smashed my head off the ground when a "lovely" motorist opened her door right as I was cycling past. Result, me cycling full speed into an opening door. A nice collision, and me sprawled on the road before I'm seen hobbling off the road.
Long story short, there's no major injuries except a sore shoulder (rather that than my head). But the woman who opened her door was significantly more shaken up than me.

Also one piece of advice to drivers.
LOOK BEFORE YOU OPEN YOUR DOOR.
The woman who did today seemed to have been pretty damn rattled by what happened. In fact she lost her entire day to it, and it will probably weigh on her for the rest of the week.

Just my thoughts on road safety and etiquete.
